Eve Online
EVE is something I have been playing since 2008. It is one of the last true sandbox MMO games. EVE is a space simulation game where you can do everything from blowing up ships, mining, manufacturing, corporate espionage, trading and colonization. It is generally considered to be one of the tougher games to get into because of its high skill ceiling and the intense amount of time playtime some in game groups require. Regardless, its a game I can never quite stay away from. Only play if you have plenty of free time, grades and girlfriend/boyfriends beware!!

Ori and the Blind Forest
This is an indy game that I found that does an amazing job at building a simple but moving video game. The game itself is a exploration platformer (Mario/Metroid) that has some of the best visuals and musical scores ive seen in a game in a long, long time. It sometimes goes on sale on its various platforms and this is a game I can recommend to anyone!
Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft
Hearthstone is probably the most popular of the online card games. It is heavily influenced by collectible card games like Magic: The Gathering and Pokemon. The game is simple to learn but offers plenty of complexity to veteran players. Games typically last 5-10 minutes so its great for burning some down time.
Stardew Valley
Stardew Valley is an indie farming simulation role-playing video game developed by Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone and published by Chucklefish. This was one of the suprise indy games of 2016. The game itself is amazing by pretty much all accounts. We study this game in the game design course for its brilliant use of mechanics, art, and sound. The fact that it was developed by a single person, makes the game all the more inspiring!
